Senior Inbound Tour Consultant
Giltedge Travel
Giltedge Africa, a privately owned South African company, is an award-winning, luxury inbound tour operator with an in-depth knowledge of Southern Africa, East Africa and the magnificent Indian Ocean islands. We are looking for Senior Inbound Tour Consultants for our Office in Tokai, (Cape Town, Southern Suburbs.)
Applicants need to be able to work well under pressure, have good communication skills and be able to multitask. Accuracy, attention to detail and a sense of urgency is vital. Being organized and showing initiative is essential. You will need to be able to learn new systems quickly and experience with Travelogic is an advantage.
Key requirements (please do not apply if you do not have these requirements.)
• Minimum four years’ inbound travel consulting experience
• Excellent travel destination knowledge of Southern African countries
• Exceptional knowledge of selling 5-star Africa to international clientele
• Extensive travel to the destinations / educationals / site visits
• Strong computer and systems skills
• Experience with Travelogic will also be an advantage
Duties and responsibilities
• Proactive selling of products, properties and services
• Quoting
• Designing Itineraries
• Booking accommodation and services
• Making car rental / point 2 point / transport reservations
• Supplier liaison
• File closing
• Working on Travelogic / Smartbox / WETU
• Updating registers and CRM
• Getting accurate documents to clients
• Contacting clients while traveling
• Managing an admin consultant
